This lecture was created by Green Calgary to give you the tools you need to invest your money according to your conscience. We make efforts to eat local, drive less, and reduce our use of environmentally damaging chemicals. Many "eco-conscious" consumers already vote with their dollars, but do we understand the impacts OF our dollars? Are we aware of the impacts finance and investing have in our world today? Can your hard earned savings be used as a force for good?

Our first guest speaker is Corporate Citizenship Specialist Teri Shortreed, from First Calgary Financial. Teri will speak briefly to First Calgary Financial's commitment to community engagement and corporate social responsibility, and the various programs and initiatives in which they support. Our second guest speaker is Paul Pflanz, VP Sales Alberta, with NEI Investments. The Ethical Funds - Canada's oldest and largest family of Socially Responsible Investments (SRI). Paul is a Certified Financial Planner (CFP) and worked as a financial advisor before assuming a management role with NEI Investments.
