REAP Business Association is proud to host, with the support of Community Natural Foods, First Calgary Financial, and Calgary Herald, a wonderful event in celebration of local sustainable food and farmers!
The 2nd annual FOOD FOR THOUGHT will showcase local sustainable farmers and producers, paired with restaurants and catering companies who already adore and promote their products, and offer tastings to our attendees while giving everyone a chance to talk to our farmers and chefs directly.
The following producers and restaurants are now confirmed. Please check back regularly for updates.
After the greeting and eating we will be premiering a documentary called In the Same Boat, which features the stories of an Alberta farming family and a Newfoundland fishing family, both of whom have been impacted by industrialized agriculture. The filmmaker, Rachel Bower, will lead a discussion about the importance of local, sustainable food systems after the film.
Doors open at 6:00 pm
Curtain at 8:30 pm
Tickets are $25 and available at Community Natural Foods locations or online through Eventbrite.
This event sold out last year, so advance ticket purchase is highly recommended. Any remaining tickets will be available for purchase at the door.
All proceeds go to support public education and awareness programming through REAP Business Association.

We proudly seek out and purchase our ingredients from growers, farmers, ranchers, purveyors and coastal fishermen who practice responsible stewardship of the land, rivers and sea. We are located in Prince's Island Park and are open for lunch, dinner or weekend brunch seven days a week.
Boxwood is the new casual eatery by River Café, serving local, seasonal and sustainable food. We want to connect more people more often to real, wholesome and delicious lunch, snack and supper seven days a week.
The Absolute Baseball Academy & Fitness centre opened its doors in 2008, with the goal of offering residents of Calgary and Area access to a state of the art baseball training facility where children, youth and adults could grow and maintain a love of the game.
Movie in the Park takes movies to a whole new level by starting with a unique venue.
